Description

Product Overview

The Coral Reef Porcelain Swimming Pool Mosaic by Custom Mosaics is a premium decorative tile designed specifically for side‑wall swimming pools. Measuring 27 inches by 22 inches, this rectangular mosaic showcases a vibrant coral reef pattern that instantly transforms a plain pool surface into an underwater oasis. Constructed from frost‑proof, screen‑printed porcelain, each tile is 0.38 inches thick and finished with a high‑gloss polish that enhances color depth while providing a smooth, slip‑resistant surface. The mosaic is fully waterproof, ensuring that water penetration does not affect the integrity of the design or the substrate. Installation is simplified by a peel‑and‑stick backing that adheres securely to clean, flat surfaces, making it ideal for new pool construction or complete resurfacing projects. The product is made in the USA, carries a lifetime guarantee for the application, and meets industry standards for durability and aesthetic performance.

Usage

This mosaic is perfectly suited for residential and commercial pools where owners desire a high‑impact visual element without the complexity of traditional tile work. Ideal environments include outdoor backyard pools, resort‑style water features, and luxury spa installations where the coral reef motif adds a natural, tropical ambience. The peel‑and‑stick system allows homeowners, contractors, and pool specialists to apply the mosaic quickly, reducing labor time and minimizing disruption to the surrounding landscape. Because the tile is waterproof and resistant to frost, it performs reliably in a range of climates, from warm coastal regions to cooler inland areas that experience seasonal temperature fluctuations. The mosaic can also be used as a decorative accent on pool decks, water fountains, and even as a backsplash in poolside bar areas, providing a cohesive design language throughout the entire aquatic environment.

FAQ

Can the mosaic be installed on an existing pool surface?

The mosaic is intended for new pool construction or complete resurfacing projects. While it can technically adhere to a clean, flat existing surface, we recommend professional evaluation to ensure proper bonding and long‑term performance.

What maintenance is required to keep the mosaic looking its best?

Regular pool cleaning with a non‑abrasive brush and standard chlorine levels will maintain the tile’s appearance. The polished surface resists staining, and occasional rinsing of the mosaic with fresh water helps prevent mineral buildup.

Is the mosaic safe for children and pets?

Yes. The polished finish provides a smooth, slip‑resistant surface that is safe for swimmers of all ages, including children and pets, when the pool water is properly balanced.

How does the peel‑and‑stick backing work?

Each tile includes a pressure‑sensitive adhesive layer protected by a release film. After cleaning the installation area, remove the film and press the tile firmly onto the surface. The adhesive creates a strong bond that holds the tile in place without additional mortar.

What is the warranty coverage for this product?

Custom Mosaics offers a lifetime guarantee for the mosaic when installed according to the provided guidelines. The warranty covers defects in material and workmanship for the life of the application.
